Overview
This course will equip delegates with the requisite up to date understanding of the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA) and other relevant legislation and how to practically compile relevant case file information in accordance with the legal framework. Delegates will analyse the contents of various types of legal case files, including the summary of evidence, schedules of witnesses and exhibits etc. This course will enhance the delegates’ knowledge of their role and responsibility around disclosure and will include managing evidence, non-sensitive unused material and sensitive material.
This course offers both theoretical and practical training to Investigators preparing cases for advocates to present at court. Delegates will gain the knowledge and skills to produce comprehensive case files which contain all the relevant documentation and information required for a range of hearings.
