Overview

Opening up difficult conversations and dealing with them effectively can be very challenging, time-consuming and energy-sapping.  During this workshop the focus will be on identifying and managing specific behaviours in order to build productive relationships and boost performance.

This workshop will provide you with the skills and confidence needed to professionally manage challenging conversations with your team and others.  The aim is to support you to turn challenging conversations into simple, straight-forward conversations, leading to more productive outcomes.

During the workshop you will consider the skills and techniques to deal effectively with problem behaviour in a direct but non-confrontational manner.

This course will enable you to

  • Understand why people behave the way they do, and how they respond to challenging situations.
  • Manage a range of difficult issues, including the performance and behaviour of others.
  • Put into practice a structure to handle any difficult conversation.
  • Respond to difficult behaviours and situations.
