Overview

This half day virtual training session will enable team leaders to share their experiences and challenges of Local Government Reorganisation with other council managers.  The course explores the challenges of organisational change and LGR, behaviours associated with organisational change and offers practical tips, techniques and models to use with themselves and their teams.

This session covers:

  • The challenges of LGR from the manager and employee perspective
  • What is within the managers control and influence when it comes to supporting teams
  • What motivation and employee engagement is and reviewing tried and tested models
  • What drives employee engagement and how this relates to LGR
  • The four levels of employee engagement from Devoted to Checked-Out employees
  • The psychology of organisational change
  • Tapping into the 5 drivers of motivation and influence – an updated model for motivation and engagement
  • The Change Cycle – practising using with teams and questions to use at each stage.

 

This course will enable you to

  • Understand and share the impact of LGR from your experience
  • Identify what is within your control and influence
  • Understand the difference between Motivation and Engagement at work in relation to LGR
  • Practice using 2 useful change and transition models
  • Tips and techniques to support yourself and your team through LGR
