Overview

This course will cover how to identify and respond to domestic abuse and controlling and coercive behaviour.  This will include responding to disclosures, risk assessment and risk management processes including DASH and MARAC.

This course will enable you to

  • Better identify domestic violence and abuse including the offence of controlling and coercive behaviour (CCB).
  • Understand the complexities of controlling and coercive behaviour and domestic abuse and barriers to leaving.
  • Understand the link between coercive control and the Domestic Homicide Timeline.
  • Understanding risk assessment and how to provide support and safety plan in relation to domestic abuse.
  • Know where to access additional support and advice.
