Overview

This course will provide the delegates with an overview of Adult Safeguarding issues and processes involved in making a referral.

This course will enable you to

  • Understand the key principles of adult safeguarding and the different types of abuse, harm and neglect.
  • Recognise signs and indicators of abuse and understand how to respond to disclosures appropriately.
  • Develop practical skills in making safeguarding referrals, managing risks, and reporting procedures effectively.

Who is the Course aimed at

This half day course is aimed at ADC front line workers who work with the general public, especially away from the office where they would be more likely to identify a potential safeguarding issue that should be reported who need a brief overview of Adult Safeguarding and associated process.  Managers and Team Leaders of staff who work with the general public would benefit from attending.
