Overview

This course will provide delegates with the key skills to interview all parties to an investigation, including the taking of witness statements. Delegates will also be trained in the effective interviewing of subjects and suspects to best-practice standards, maximising the evidence gained during such interviews.

The training will have a blended delivery approach as below:

  1. Pre-Course – There will be a necessity for delegates to read some pre-course information in the Codes of Practice which will be sent prior to the course.
  2. The training will be delivered via MS Teams.  It will be practical based, using scenarios from the delegates’ area of work, and be up to date from the latest codes of practice.
  3. Post Course – there will be other useful material forwarded to delegates which will supplement the learning and be useful reference material.
