Overview
This workshop provides an introduction to the topic of mental health, exploring what mental health is (and isn’t) and raising awareness of both common and less common mental health issues, their symptoms and effects and how to both identify and minimise them, to enable those who work in the organisation to actively promote a culture of wellbeing for the benefit of all.
The workshop also takes learners on a historical journey, explaining how the human brain works, what creates the anxiety that can lead to mental health issues and how that it impacts the brain, body and the workplace, as well as the role of stress and happiness hormones and simple things we can do ourselves to proactively minimise the possibility mental ill-health, both on ourselves and those we live and work with.
